The staff is attentive and the food is DELICIOUS! The price is super reasonable and they are not looking to increase the prices for tourists! I recommend with my eyes closed! Thank you ☺️

Found this on Happy Cow. Wanted to try Koshary. It was delicious! The waiter who helped us was so friendly and helpful. The upstairs seating area looks out over the busy street below It was great!

Some friends from Egypt recommended me to try this local dish. Although it doesn’t look very appealing but the food was tasty and filling. Portion sizes are huge and prices are very cheap. The place was very busy but we didn’t have to wait for a very long time.

Traditional Egyptian food. 'Koshary'. A combination of pasta, rice, lentils and chickpeas. Additionally, in the bowl next to it, there is a sauce resembling with minced tomato soup. Fried onion served in colorful bags. Don't force it, if you can't eat something, it is listed next to it so you can choose how you eat your dish. Very thoughtful. When in Cairo, you must come here. We've eaten other koshary in other places but this one definitely wins. The service was efficient, friendly, incredibly smiling and speaking English. The waiter will come up and ask you what you need with a wide, sincere smile. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. The atmosphere of the bar is pleasant and local. Quick service style with a restaurant area on the floor above the kitchen. We felt healthily full. We came back a few more times and each time we took more King portions to go. On Google maps it is in a different place. It's actually across the street. If you look around you will definitely notice it. Impossible to miss

Amazing dish called koshary. This dish is an Egyptian favorite consisting of rice, noodles, tomato sauce, lentils, chickpeas, garlic sauce, hot sauce, and fried onions. It melds together so well and is extremely filling. This store has many sizes, and for 1 USD, you could be easily filled. If you are very hungry, the 18 pound size is more than enough. The 22 pound is enough for 2 meals. The sitting area upstairs is extremely small, so if you do takeaway, make sure you go to the register and order. Then, hand the guy making the food your receipt. He won’t make it otherwise, so be sure to do this or you will not get it. The food itself was spectacular, and this place gets a 5 star from me.
