Imprint / Operator details
Anyone who uses an online service is entitled to know who is behind it. Consistent with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, including Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018, which entitles consumers to clear information about the supplier they deal with, this page identifies the operator of Local Egypt: the operator’s name, legal form, Commercial Registry number and registry office, tax card (tax registration) number, registered address and e-mail address. If the Arabic and English versions of this page differ, the Arabic version prevails.

Regulators
Personal data protection in Egypt is supervised by the Personal Data Protection Center under Law No. 151 of 2020 (see the privacy policy). Consumer protection falls under the Consumer Protection Agency (hotline 19588) under Law No. 181 of 2018; commercial registration under the Commercial Registry, and tax registration under the Egyptian Tax Authority. The telecommunications sector is regulated by the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA, tra.gov.eg) under Telecommunications Regulation Law No. 10 of 2003.
Dispute resolution
We try to settle any disagreement directly first; our e-mail address is given above. Consumers in Egypt may also complain under Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 to the Consumer Protection Agency, for example through its hotline 19588. The governing law and the competent courts are set out in the terms of use. Visitors from the European Union should note that the European Commission’s online dispute resolution (ODR) platform closed on 20 July 2025, so we do not link to it.
Liability for content
We are responsible for our own content on these pages. Listings compiled from public sources, reviews reproduced from Google and content submitted by business owners and users are not checked by us in advance, and we are under no general obligation to monitor them. When we learn of specific content that is unlawful, for example defamatory, an invasion of privacy or a photo of a person published without consent in violation of their privacy within the meaning of the Anti-Cyber and Information Technology Crimes Law (Law No. 175 of 2018), we remove or block it promptly; please use the notice and takedown process. We also comply with lawful orders of the competent Egyptian authorities and courts.
Liability for links
The site contains links to external websites of third parties, chiefly the websites and Google Maps entries of the businesses listed, over whose content we have no influence. We therefore cannot accept any responsibility for that third-party content; the respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content. Because the links are taken automatically from public business information, we cannot review every linked page; where we learn of an infringement we remove the link promptly.
Copyright
The content and works created by us on these pages (design, code, our own texts and the compilation of listings as a database) are protected under Egyptian law (the Law on the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights, Law No. 82 of 2002) and international copyright treaties. Reproduction, editing, distribution and any kind of exploitation beyond what the law permits require our written consent; linking to any page is free. Business names, logos and photos belong to their respective owners; reviews belong to their authors and are reproduced under the terms Google offers. If you nevertheless become aware of a copyright infringement, please let us know and we will remove the content promptly.
Source of listing data
The business listings on Local Egypt are compiled from publicly available sources, chiefly Google Business Profiles, and refreshed automatically. If a listing is wrong, a business has closed or a listing should be removed, please use the notice and takedown process; owners can also claim and edit their listing themselves. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.
