Amazing stuffed pigeon!!!!!! And the best ever kofta!! Super moist and the right ratio of lamb/beef! And the pigeon soup is delicate too!!!

The restaurant is overrated. The stuffed pigeon with rice cost us 400 EGP for two, but the portions were very small compared to what we saw being served to local customers. There was nothing special or surprising about the food, and it was definitely not worth trying for that price. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

El Gomhoureya Restaurant. A true hidden gem. A common restaurant serving grilled meat and Hamam (pigeon) which is a popular Egyptian dish. We didn’t try the grilled meat, but the Hammam was excellent, probably the best you can find in Cairo. This is definitely my favourite spot for Hamam in Cairo. Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 Average PPP EGP 500

I recently dined at Algomhoureya Restaurant in Downtown Cairo, and overall, the experience was average. The food was decent, but nothing particularly stood out. I wouldn’t recommend ordering the stuffed pigeon—it was underwhelming and not as flavorful as I’d hoped. One downside was the service. The waiter seemed to have a bit of an attitude, which made the experience less enjoyable. Additionally, I was disappointed when I couldn’t find a specific soft drink I wanted on the menu, and the staff wasn’t helpful in resolving the issue. I ended up walking about 500 meters outside the restaurant to find it myself. While the location is convenient, the overall experience didn’t meet my expectations. There are certainly better options in the area.
