الشامى موتورز

الشامى موتورز is a tyre shop in Smouha, Alexandria. It is listed at 3, الاسكندرية, سموحة, and this page gathers what people usually check before a visit: where it is, how to get there, when it opens and how customers rate it.

In Egypt the vehicle licence is renewed at the traffic unit, which usually requires the technical inspection, settled fines and compulsory insurance, and fines can be checked and some transactions started on the Egypt Digital portal. Ask a garage for an itemised estimate before work starts, whether parts are genuine or aftermarket, and about the warranty on parts and labour. Summer heat is hard on tyres, batteries and air conditioning, so have them checked before June, especially before long desert highway trips. Summer heat drains batteries and raises tyre pressure, and old tyres are more likely to burst, so check the manufacturing date printed on the sidewall, and do not forget the spare.

The business lists hours for all seven days of the week. On most of those days it is open 10:00–23:30. Expect different timings in Ramadan and on public holidays, and a short closure at Friday prayer time in smaller shops. The listed phone number is 012 2392 7374. From abroad dial +20 and then the number without its leading zero (five-digit hotlines work only from within Egypt); calling ahead is the norm for bookings and to confirm timings.

It has a Google rating of 5.0 out of 5, though from only 1 review so far, so treat the score as an early indication rather than a verdict.

This business is in Smouha, Alexandria Governorate, on Egypt's Mediterranean coast, home to Alexandria with its long Corniche, fish restaurants, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Qaitbay Citadel; westwards the North Coast stretches past summer resort villages and New Alamein to the beaches of Marsa Matrouh, with Siwa oasis deep in the desert. Summers are milder than in Cairo thanks to the sea breeze, the North Coast season peaks in July and August when roads and resorts fill up, and winters are rainy, with stormy 'nawat' bringing wind and high waves. Some seasonal shops close outside summer, so check opening hours before you go.
