In Egypt the vehicle licence is renewed at the traffic unit, which usually requires the technical inspection, settled fines and compulsory insurance, and fines can be checked and some transactions started on the Egypt Digital portal. Ask a garage for an itemised estimate before work starts, whether parts are genuine or aftermarket, and about the warranty on parts and labour. Summer heat is hard on tyres, batteries and air conditioning, so have them checked before June, especially before long desert highway trips. Ask to see the replaced parts and whether they are genuine, aftermarket or used, and remember that a new-car warranty may require scheduled servicing at the dealer or an authorised centre.

Opening hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 24 hours. It is closed on Sunday.
