Judge a place like this on a clear menu with prices, visible hygiene and recent, consistent reviews rather than décor. Food outlets are licensed by the district or the new-city authority and inspected by the National Food Safety Authority, and most menus are in Arabic, many in English too. Thursday nights and holidays are the busiest, and popular places fill up on Ramadan nights and at Eid, so book ahead. Cash is still common in popular eateries, while larger restaurants take cards, mobile wallets and InstaPay. Egypt's café culture runs from the traditional ahwa and Turkish coffee to modern cafés and specialty coffee in the new cities and malls; many offer Wi-Fi and space to work or study, and some set a minimum spend at busy times.
Opening hours are published for all seven days of the week. On most of those days it is open 08:00–01:00. Timings usually change during Ramadan, at Eid and on other public holidays, and some shops open later on Friday around midday prayers, so call before a long trip. The listed phone number is 012 2447 0402. From abroad dial +20 and then the number without its leading zero (five-digit hotlines work only from within Egypt); calling ahead is the norm for bookings and to confirm timings.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 533 reviews, a strong result for a café in Tora that points to clearly satisfied customers.
This business is in Tora, Cairo Governorate, part of Greater Cairo, Egypt's capital and the largest urban area in the Arab world, spreading along both banks of the Nile from Downtown, Zamalek, Garden City, Heliopolis and Maadi to new cities such as New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, 6th of October and the New Administrative Capital, with the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum on its edge. The Cairo Metro's three lines link many districts, but traffic is part of daily life, so allow extra time at rush hour. Summers are hot and dry, winters mild with little rain, and streets and shops stay busy late into the night.

Now this is a tough one, because a cafe should be rated on the taste of its actual coffee, and not masked by cream, syrups etc it becomes more Starbucks and it’s a sugary drink with a hint of coffee. So, I make my review SOLELY on the coffee for actual coffee enthusiasts who want to know. And maybe, my three stars is a little harsh, but, the sign is SPECIALTY coffee - which implies the company should know what they’re talking about when doing coffee. So I judge on this basis alone. I ordered a flat white and I asked the young man what bean they are using and he flatly said Colombian…. Ok. Fine. I look at their bean bags and the Colombian as you would expect says bright, nutty etc the coffee I received was over extracted, sour and burnt and it was overwhelmingly obvious that it was not dialled in a while. The milk also was steamed to what I could describe as a machine flat white. Again, this is purely on coffee. The atmosphere felt really serene and had a nice chill vibe to it. The branding is chic and elegant and so is the decor! Food department is basic but good nonetheless to handle whatever you are after in most coffee stops. Coffee however, for a specialty coffee company, nee

Great coffee and a cozy atmosphere. The ice latte, matcha latte & Spanish latte was perfectly made, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place I’d come back to again.

Best Ice Latte I’ve had in Egypt. I was always looking for the nutty rich tasted latte in Egypt and was always disappointed at watery, no taste or too bitter Ice lattes(even in good expensive cafes)… so I would always just order Hot latte to enjoy the steamed milk at least.. But when I visited CAF at district 5.. I was so shocked and couldn’t believe I could taste this kind of latte in Egypt!! You will NOT regret it’s taste! If you are a latte lover you gotta try CAF at district 5 branch! (I also visited downtown CAF and tried the ice latte there, but district 5 taste was much better…) My husband ordered matcha mango(?) and it was too… also so good
