Eating out in Egypt runs late: dinner often starts after 20:00, and many restaurants and cafés stay open until midnight and beyond, especially on Thursday nights and in summer. Delivery is everywhere, either by calling the restaurant or through apps such as Talabat and elmenus, sometimes with different prices and offers on each. Many restaurants add a 12 % service charge and 14 % VAT to the bill, so ask for the final price; tipping is customary but optional. During Ramadan the timings shift, with the main rush at iftar and service running on towards suhoor. Bakeries sell baladi bread, fino rolls and pastries, with subsidised bread distributed through the ration-card system, while patisseries get busiest in Ramadan for konafa and qatayef and before Eid al-Fitr for kahk and biscuits, so order large quantities early.
Opening hours are published for all seven days of the week. On most of those days it is open 24 hours. Timings usually change during Ramadan, at Eid and on other public holidays, and some shops open later on Friday around midday prayers, so call before a long trip. The listed phone number is 02 3302 4968. From abroad dial +20 and then the number without its leading zero (five-digit hotlines work only from within Egypt); calling ahead is the norm for bookings and to confirm timings.
Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 1,657 reviews, a high score, though the most recent reviews are still the best guide to what visitors find today.
This business is in Agouza, Giza Governorate, part of Greater Cairo, Egypt's capital and the largest urban area in the Arab world, spreading along both banks of the Nile from Downtown, Zamalek, Garden City, Heliopolis and Maadi to new cities such as New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, 6th of October and the New Administrative Capital, with the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum on its edge. The Cairo Metro's three lines link many districts, but traffic is part of daily life, so allow extra time at rush hour. Summers are hot and dry, winters mild with little rain, and streets and shops stay busy late into the night.

I’ve been to Al Horreya Bakery several times now, and honestly, it never disappoints. The moment you step inside, you’re hit with that amazing smell of fresh bread — the kind that makes you instantly hungry. Their pastries and breads taste homemade in the best way possible — soft, warm, and full of flavor. I especially love their croissants; they’re buttery without being greasy, and always fresh. You can tell they bake everything with real care, not just for show. The staff are friendly and quick to help, and even when the place is busy, the service stays smooth. Prices are fair, especially considering the quality. Overall, it’s become one of my go-to spots whenever I want something fresh and comforting.

This bakery shop has very nice selection. From oriental bakery items, to more westernized items like donuts and croissants. I was craving the oriental options, so I ordered agwa pies, agwa mneen, and feteer (Egyptian pie). All items were good, especially the feteer was fantastic. They also have other selections like cheese croissant, pizza, biscuits, ….. I won’t say it is the best bakery shop out there, but it is definitely a good one and worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

I bought Eid biscuits and Kahk, they were awesome. It was better than famous brands and the price is cheaper than others. Their bakery is incredible overall, you should try it.

Has the delicious raspberry cupcakes, ketchup and salt pretzels are the best, yummy cheesy pizza slices and mini cheese sandwiches were delectable. I didn't try anything else but willing to try all its products next time.

Large variety of bakery products. Every thing is freshly baked and presented. Prices are very reasonable unlike contemporary outlets nearby which are fleecing in the name of presentation only. Kitchen or oven is at the same place from where beautiful smell of fresh baking attracts.
