After a long morning stroll at Cairo's Khan El Khalili we visited this café-restaurant while talking a break from the extremely busy bazaar. Right at the centre of the market, this place was a quiet indoor oasis for us. The lounge was beautifully decorated, cosy and clean and the waiting staff was quite polite. Unfortunately though, the food did not meet our expectations at all. Although the ingredients were fresh, everything was a bit tasteless and bland. We definitely expected much more taste from their cuisine.

An amazing restaurant with authentic décor and a unique atmosphere. The food is delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. Its location is exceptional, right in the heart of the vibrant Khan El Khalili market, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal while experiencing the area's rich culture and history.

I recently visited this traditional café, and while it has a certain charm, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. First, finding the place was unexpectedly difficult. There’s little to no clear signage, and even with navigation, it felt like I was going in circles before finally locating it. For a café that seems to attract attention, you’d expect it to be more accessible. Once inside, the ambiance was a bit confusing. Although it’s marketed as a traditional spot, the atmosphere was dominated by loud music that didn’t quite match the setting. It made it hard to relax, have a conversation, or really enjoy the experience. The biggest drawback, however, was the pricing. They would charge you minimum of 20$ for the service per person and menu items are significantly overpriced for what you get. While presentation was decent, the quality and portion sizes didn’t justify the cost. Overall, the café has potential with its traditional concept, but the loud environment, high prices, and hard-to-find location make it difficult to recommend unless you’re specifically curious and don’t mind the drawbacks.

A memorable experience and a perfect way to feel the soul of old Cairo. Located right in the heart of the historic Khan El Khalili bazaar, this place is not just a restaurant, but a journey into Egypt’s rich cultural and culinary heritage. The restaurant has a very old, traditional charm with beautiful, unique architecture that reflects classical Egyptian and Islamic design. Sitting here, surrounded by antique décor, wooden details, and traditional lighting, feels like stepping back in time. The atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxing, made even more special by live traditional music, which adds an authentic and enjoyable cultural touch to the evening. The food offered a genuine Egyptian taste, with well-prepared traditional dishes that were flavorful and satisfying. Everything was fresh, nicely presented, and truly represented local cuisine. The taste was very good and complemented the overall authentic experience perfectly. Service was warm and welcoming, and the staff were attentive despite the busy location. Whether you are a tourist visiting Cairo for the first time or someone who appreciates cultural dining experiences, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone
