Bedaya center (مركز تنمية مهارات)

مركز بداية is a tutoring centre in Sidi Gaber, Alexandria. It is listed at 84 جاردن سيتى سموحة، عزبة سعد، قسم سيدى جابر، محافظة الإسكندرية 5432070, and this page gathers what people usually check before a visit: where it is, how to get there, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Choosing a nursery, school or course means looking at the curriculum, class sizes, teachers' qualifications and total fees. The Ministry of Education and Technical Education oversees public, private and international schools and approves private school fees, and curricula range from national and language schools to British, American, German, French and international programmes. The school year usually starts in autumn, and Thanaweya Amma, the final secondary exam, decides university places through the national admissions office, so plan early. Tutoring centres are a central part of school life in Egypt, especially for Thanaweya Amma students, and their groups fill up before the school year starts, so ask about group size, timings, the price per lesson or month and the final revision sessions.

The business lists hours for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 08:00–23:00. Note that it does not open on Friday. Expect different timings in Ramadan and on public holidays, and a short closure at Friday prayer time in smaller shops. The listed phone number is 010 8076 1420. From abroad dial +20 and then the number without its leading zero (five-digit hotlines work only from within Egypt); calling ahead is the norm for bookings and to confirm timings.

It has a Google rating of 5.0 out of 5, though from only 2 reviews so far, so treat the score as an early indication rather than a verdict.

This business is in Sidi Gaber, Alexandria Governorate, on Egypt's Mediterranean coast, home to Alexandria with its long Corniche, fish restaurants, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Qaitbay Citadel; westwards the North Coast stretches past summer resort villages and New Alamein to the beaches of Marsa Matrouh, with Siwa oasis deep in the desert. Summers are milder than in Cairo thanks to the sea breeze, the North Coast season peaks in July and August when roads and resorts fill up, and winters are rainy, with stormy 'nawat' bringing wind and high waves. Some seasonal shops close outside summer, so check opening hours before you go.
