Eating out in Egypt runs late: dinner often starts after 20:00, and many restaurants and cafés stay open until midnight and beyond, especially on Thursday nights and in summer. Delivery is everywhere, either by calling the restaurant or through apps such as Talabat and elmenus, sometimes with different prices and offers on each. Many restaurants add a 12 % service charge and 14 % VAT to the bill, so ask for the final price; tipping is customary but optional. During Ramadan the timings shift, with the main rush at iftar and service running on towards suhoor. Syrian and Lebanese restaurants are known for hot and cold mezze, shawarma, grills and fresh bread; they have spread across Egypt in recent years, and dishes are usually ordered to share.
Opening hours are published for all seven days of the week. On most of those days it is open 10:00–03:00. Timings usually change during Ramadan, at Eid and on other public holidays, and some shops open later on Friday around midday prayers, so call before a long trip. The listed phone number is 012 2276 0999. From abroad dial +20 and then the number without its leading zero (five-digit hotlines work only from within Egypt); calling ahead is the norm for bookings and to confirm timings.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 4,958 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect before you commit to a visit.

Mahshi were incredible. Food was really good but come not hot. As a desert we ordered fetir with chocolate and get piece of bread with chocolate and banana.

The experience was a study in contrasts, ultimately delivering outstanding value for The food was genuinely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the authentic flavors of both the Kufta and the Shawarma Mix. The quality of the ingredients and preparation is undeniably high and truly the highlight of the visit ,Unfortunately, the dining experience was hampered by some service inconsistencies. Our main dishes arrived with a noticeable delay, and we found that the staff was perpetually in a rush. There was also a recurring issue with forgotten items, as both sauces and water had to be requested multiple times. While the waiters were busy, this lack of attention to detail slightly detracted from the meal.

I liked the food. Everything was delicious! We ordered the fried drumsticks meal, the mixed grill meal, one fried keba and one grilled keba. Everything was well seasoned and cooked. The salads were tasty and the green salad had a nice dressing with olive oil, which I loved. The only thing I didn’t like that much was the grilled keba and that was because it was so oily, the fat was dripping out of it. It was a good experience, I would go again.

Neat and clean restaurant with many seating places. The air conditioned hall is bright and clean with many staff members working on the clock the serve people. The food was one of the best places we had food at especially the grilled chicken. It was amazing with the parsley covered it on top and the pita bread. The salads was also delicious. I took 2 stars off due to their smoking policy and accessibility to the hall. People are allowed to smoke inside the eating air conditioned closed hall and there will be families with kids and people with asthma and will not be comfortable with people smoking around them. The other thing is the hall is not accessible to elder people due to the steep stairs and there is no elevator to go up. All in all, I do recommend it especially for take away.
