About مطعم الاغا
مطعم الاغا is a Syrian or Lebanese restaurant in Dokki, Giza. It is listed at 148 محمد فهيم، الدقي أ، قسم الدقي، محافظة الجيزة 12611, and this page gathers what people usually check before a visit: where it is, how to get there, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Judge a place like this on a clear menu with prices, visible hygiene and recent, consistent reviews rather than décor. Food outlets are licensed by the district or the new-city authority and inspected by the National Food Safety Authority, and most menus are in Arabic, many in English too. Thursday nights and holidays are the busiest, and popular places fill up on Ramadan nights and at Eid, so book ahead. Cash is still common in popular eateries, while larger restaurants take cards, mobile wallets and InstaPay. Syrian and Lebanese restaurants are known for hot and cold mezze, shawarma, grills and fresh bread; they have spread across Egypt in recent years, and dishes are usually ordered to share.
The business lists hours for all seven days of the week. Typical hours are 08:00–04:00. Expect different timings in Ramadan and on public holidays, and a short closure at Friday prayer time in smaller shops. You can reach مطعم الاغا on 010 1553 7363; calling is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses in Egypt also answer on WhatsApp. More information is available on its website, alaghaegypt.co.
With 4.2 out of 5 on Google from 6,972 reviews, opinions look fair to good; the detailed comments usually say more than the score about service, prices and waiting times.
This business is in Dokki, Giza Governorate, part of Greater Cairo, Egypt's capital and the largest urban area in the Arab world, spreading along both banks of the Nile from Downtown, Zamalek, Garden City, Heliopolis and Maadi to new cities such as New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, 6th of October and the New Administrative Capital, with the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum on its edge. The Cairo Metro's three lines link many districts, but traffic is part of daily life, so allow extra time at rush hour. Summers are hot and dry, winters mild with little rain, and streets and shops stay busy late into the night.

On the recommendation of our Viking tour guide. We are at Al Agha. Overcoming the language barrier with friendly staff, we had shawarma that was delicious. We liked it so much we returned with friends two nights later where we tried their knafeh. It was heavenly. This is Egyptian street food at its best and we so appreciated the friendly, patient staff.

I had a wonderful experience at Alagha Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was excellent as well. A special thanks to Mahmoud, who served us with so much professionalism and kindness. He made our visit even better. Highly recommended!

We recently visited this local shawarma restaurant in Giza, Egypt, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The place had a lively and authentic vibe — bustling with energy, filled with the aroma of freshly grilled shawarma, and clearly a favorite among locals. We started with their fresh cocktail and mango juices, both of which were outstanding. The juices were pulpy, refreshing, and naturally sweet, a perfect start to the meal on a warm Giza evening. For our main course, we ordered the chicken shawarma with fries, and it turned out to be one of the best shawarmas we’ve ever had. The chicken was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, complemented perfectly by the crisp, golden fries. One of the highlights of our visit was watching the chef prepare fresh kunafa right in front of us. The smell alone was irresistible, and when we finally tasted it, the kunafa was simply divine — soft, rich, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. It was the ideal ending to a wonderful meal. Despite the restaurant being incredibly busy and overloaded with orders, the staff managed everything efficiently. Our server, Basel, was particularly friendly and attentive, ensuring
