About شارع الكشري

شارع الكشري is a koshary and foul shop in Al Shatby, Alexandria. It is listed at 6W45+C84، الأزاريتة والشاطبي، باب شرق، محافظة الإسكندرية 5424001, and this page gathers what people usually check before a visit: where it is, how to get there, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Judge a place like this on a clear menu with prices, visible hygiene and recent, consistent reviews rather than décor. Food outlets are licensed by the district or the new-city authority and inspected by the National Food Safety Authority, and most menus are in Arabic, many in English too. Thursday nights and holidays are the busiest, and popular places fill up on Ramadan nights and at Eid, so book ahead. Cash is still common in popular eateries, while larger restaurants take cards, mobile wallets and InstaPay. Koshary, foul and taameya are Egypt's best-known street food: koshary mixes rice, lentils, pasta and chickpeas with tomato sauce, garlic vinegar and crispy onions, and Egyptian taameya is made from fava beans rather than chickpeas. Foul and taameya shops usually open early for breakfast, and prices suit every budget.

The business lists hours for all seven days of the week. The most common schedule is 08:00–00:00. Expect different timings in Ramadan and on public holidays, and a short closure at Friday prayer time in smaller shops. You can reach شارع الكشري on 010 1027 7303; calling is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses in Egypt also answer on WhatsApp.

Its Google rating is 3.5 out of 5 from 196 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect before you commit to a visit.

This business is in Al Shatby, Alexandria Governorate, on Egypt's Mediterranean coast, home to Alexandria with its long Corniche, fish restaurants, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Qaitbay Citadel; westwards the North Coast stretches past summer resort villages and New Alamein to the beaches of Marsa Matrouh, with Siwa oasis deep in the desert. Summers are milder than in Cairo thanks to the sea breeze, the North Coast season peaks in July and August when roads and resorts fill up, and winters are rainy, with stormy 'nawat' bringing wind and high waves. Some seasonal shops close outside summer, so check opening hours before you go.

Food was cold, the hot sauce was moldy and the macaroni and rice were undercooked. The hygiene of the place is poor. The lighting is so bad and dim. I just came I hope I don't go to the hospital afterwards.

Good taste for local food. The place is small but good for quick meal. Nice staff and friendly attitude. Price is ok for a fast meal. Within the heart of the university services area. Difficult to park your car so better to either request a delivery or go on foot. Approachable by all transportation.

The place needs serious maintenance and cleaning, food doesn’t taste fresh , the upper floor is too hot, tables not regularly cleaned, music is too loud the WC doesn’t have any water to wash hands.
