Eating out in Egypt runs late: dinner often starts after 20:00, and many restaurants and cafés stay open until midnight and beyond, especially on Thursday nights and in summer. Delivery is everywhere, either by calling the restaurant or through apps such as Talabat and elmenus, sometimes with different prices and offers on each. Many restaurants add a 12 % service charge and 14 % VAT to the bill, so ask for the final price; tipping is customary but optional. During Ramadan the timings shift, with the main rush at iftar and service running on towards suhoor. Syrian and Lebanese restaurants are known for hot and cold mezze, shawarma, grills and fresh bread; they have spread across Egypt in recent years, and dishes are usually ordered to share.
Opening hours are published for all seven days of the week. On most of those days it is open 10:00–00:00. Timings usually change during Ramadan, at Eid and on other public holidays, and some shops open later on Friday around midday prayers, so call before a long trip. You can reach Villa Caracas on 010 1711 8882; calling is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses in Egypt also answer on WhatsApp.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 3,270 reviews, a high score, though the most recent reviews are still the best guide to what visitors find today.
This business is in Maadi, Cairo Governorate, part of Greater Cairo, Egypt's capital and the largest urban area in the Arab world, spreading along both banks of the Nile from Downtown, Zamalek, Garden City, Heliopolis and Maadi to new cities such as New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, 6th of October and the New Administrative Capital, with the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum on its edge. The Cairo Metro's three lines link many districts, but traffic is part of daily life, so allow extra time at rush hour. Summers are hot and dry, winters mild with little rain, and streets and shops stay busy late into the night.

Unfortunately, a regrettable experience. Food was not worth the price, or even not worth it at any price. Ambiance is below average and service is average.

Villa Caracas is one of those places where you will not go wrong. A reliable Lebanese place (we visited the Maadi, Cairo one). With an outdoor and indoor seating - Villa Caracas offers a spacious and relaxed vibe. The menu offers a wide range of options for vegetarians and non vegetarians. Highly recommend.

Villa Caracas is honestly one of the nicest places I’ve ever sat in. Everything about it feels comfortable and inviting. The food is consistently very good, and the overall ambiance is lovely. The restaurant offers both open-air seating and an indoor area, which makes it suitable for any mood or weather. The décor is calm, mostly white, and very easy on the eyes. On regular days, the place has a warm Lebanese vibe with soft Fairuz-style music in the background, which I really enjoy. This time, I decided to try their Ramadan iftar. At the Maadi branch, they offer a set menu, and honestly, the options are very nice and well thought out. You choose one main dish, and we went for the mixed grill. The portion size was good, and the chicken shish tawook was extremely tasty. The meat was good as well, but the chicken was definitely the highlight. I felt that the meat and the kofta could have been a bit more tender, but overall the flavors were still enjoyable. The soup was excellent—both the orzo soup and the lentil soup were very well done. The hummus with tahini was perfectly balanced and smooth. The spiced potatoes and cold vine leaves were both delicious and nicely seasoned.

The food is good, the atmosphere is cute, and they have indoor and outdoor seating options. My only complaint about Villa Caracas is the service - it's a coin toss as to whether any of the many waiters standing around will ever assist you, get a menu, remember to come take your order, etc. I almost never come when it's busy - sometimes there are only two tables with people at them and I can see all the wait staff standing at the main door in a circle doing, it seems, everything but their job? When they do actually come, the dining experience is seamless. It's a small issue to fix, but I've yet to see it happen. I don't recommend the desserts.
