An Ahwa Baladi is a traditional nostalgic Egyptian café. In Cairo cafes are an integral part daily life for the people. A lovely café located by the old charm downtown Cairo. Graffiti on walls. I had a tea for EGP 25 per person. Ask about prices since our first Waiter tried to quote higher prices. Service is good. Enjoyable and good experience.

Not even 1 star worth, very expensive. 250 pounds for 3 coffees?? A total scam avoid at all costs!

The atmosphere and ambiance are great, very vibrant and young. Service is great by some waiters and terrible by others. Like everyone in Egypt, they will approach you for tips which is alright. However the guy in charge of "cashier" will try to rip you off, one day offering 200EGP, next day 500EGP, etc. Others are nice, especially the bald guy working on shishas!

We had tea for EGP 25 per person, nice atmosphere, local café where you can smoke waterpipe.
