Eating out in Egypt runs late: dinner often starts after 20:00, and many restaurants and cafés stay open until midnight and beyond, especially on Thursday nights and in summer. Delivery is everywhere, either by calling the restaurant or through apps such as Talabat and elmenus, sometimes with different prices and offers on each. Many restaurants add a 12 % service charge and 14 % VAT to the bill, so ask for the final price; tipping is customary but optional. During Ramadan the timings shift, with the main rush at iftar and service running on towards suhoor. Egyptian home cooking means dishes such as molokhia, mahshi, fatta, hawawshi, stuffed pigeon and baked rice, and many restaurants cook different dishes on different days of the week, so ask about the dish of the day and portion sizes before ordering, especially for a group.

The business lists hours for all seven days of the week. Typical hours are 10:00–23:00. Expect different timings in Ramadan and on public holidays, and a short closure at Friday prayer time in smaller shops. You can reach مطعم المغربل on 02 3785 0888; calling is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses in Egypt also answer on WhatsApp.

I love the location of this restaurant. It's a little hidden gem and it's so calm and quiet. We were able to eat in peace and enjoy being away from all the noise. The food was excellent except for the dessert. I had the Om Ali and it was missing sweetness and creaminess. However, their grilled chicken is AMAZING and their macarona beshamel was so yummy! I loved their sausages too. My daughter was in love with their fatteh and she practically ate the whole plate next to her chicken and she's a super picky eater so that's a big compliment from her. The service was outstanding and the restaurant is very clean. We will definitely be coming back because it is such a relaxing place. The only thing that needs improvement is the dessert.

This restaurant never let me down. Always has exceptional service and quality. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Food quality is excellent as well as the taste. It is always clean. It is a little bit over priced. You can pay either ways using credit card or cash. Restrooms are available. Wheelchair entrance is available as well.

This is almost the finest restaurant i have ever been to in sheikh zayed , great food quality, amazing cleanliness and amazing staff. Prices are a little bit high but as long as I’m getting extra-ordinary quality i have no probs. Thank you and please keep up the good quality.
