About مقهي نادي وادي النيل _ Nadi Wadi Elnile Cafe

مقهي نادي وادي النيل-ميدان التحرير تم افتتاح المقهي في أوائل الستينات وكان يعتبر أول مقهي في الميدان بجوار العديد من المطاعم ويتميز المقهي بوجوده في منطقة سياحية ورغم ذلك يحافظ علي انه مقهي بلدي وشعبي وديكوراته مازالت علي هيئة البواكي القديمة والبراويز المميزة والتي توضح القاهرة أيام الستينات من القرن الماضي. وعن اسم المقهي فقد استوحي من الأصل النوبي الذي ينتمي اليه أصحاب المقهي والنيل الذي يربط مصر بأكملها.

وبالنسبة للأحداث التي شهدها المقهي وماحدث في شهر فبراير 1992 من حادث ارهابي ووضع قنبلة في المقهي لترويع رواد المقهي من مصريين وأجانب.

وبعد هذا الحادث تم اعادة الافتتاح بعد شهر بحضور أغلب الفنانين ومنهم عادل امام ..حسين فهمي..عايدة عبد العزيز..محمد نوح..فايزة كمال..محمود الجندي وغيرهم.

Honestly, a local café mainly for coffee and tea with a shisha option. Overlooks Tahrir Square, super cheap , coffee and water $1. The older gentleman at the register is very kind. Highly recommended for those wanting a local experience. Mostly locals as clientele

Good coffeehouse neighboring Tahrir square. We went there to have tea and to spend some time while waiting for a friend. The price are on the north side and the guy rudly asked us to order a drink for every one of us but the host was kind and asked him to skip the kids. We ended up paying good amount for two teas, a pop and a water bottle.
