Vet clinics are spread across Egypt's towns, some with 24-hour emergency care, offering vaccinations, check-ups, surgery, boarding and grooming, alongside vets who look after livestock and poultry in the countryside. Keep your pet's vaccination record, especially for rabies, which is needed for travel and by many hotels and compounds, and check the legal requirements for keeping certain breeds. In summer never leave animals in a car or walk them in the midday heat, as hot pavements burn paws.

The business lists hours for all seven days of the week. On most of those days it is open 24 hours. Expect different timings in Ramadan and on public holidays, and a short closure at Friday prayer time in smaller shops. You can reach المستشفى البيطرى للعلاج و التحاليل المعملية للقوات المسلحه on 02 2415 2661; calling is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses in Egypt also answer on WhatsApp. Its website is afvethosp.org.eg, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

With 4.1 out of 5 on Google from 1,842 reviews, opinions look fair to good; the detailed comments usually say more than the score about service, prices and waiting times.

This business is in Nasr City, Cairo Governorate, part of Greater Cairo, Egypt's capital and the largest urban area in the Arab world, spreading along both banks of the Nile from Downtown, Zamalek, Garden City, Heliopolis and Maadi to new cities such as New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, 6th of October and the New Administrative Capital, with the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum on its edge. The Cairo Metro's three lines link many districts, but traffic is part of daily life, so allow extra time at rush hour. Summers are hot and dry, winters mild with little rain, and streets and shops stay busy late into the night.

Very rude. I called them because I was bitten by a stray dog and needed their help on whether I should get the rabies vaccine or not and they were so rude over the phone just because I called them again to ask further questions. No consideration that the person might be terrified from such experience specially that it was 3AM in them morning. Did not treat my animal there but very disappointed with the treatment received even if over the phone.

I’m so grateful to this hospital for taking care of my dog, during her delivery. The staff were kind, supportive, and professional, and they made sure both mama and puppies were safe. Truly appreciate their care and compassion!

I had one of the most distressing experiences at this hospital. I brought in a stray dog that had been hit by a car, and they performed surgery that I later realized was ill-considered, reflecting their lack of professionalism. The following day, I noticed a foul odor near the surgical stitching site, which I understood could indicate a serious issue like gangrene. I rushed back to the hospital seeking help, but instead of the urgent care the situation warranted, I was only given a glucose solution for the dog. I swear I pleaded like 10 times for them to check on her condition, they intentionally ignored her. Desperate for assistance, I left and took her to another clinic that did everything possible to save her. Sadly, despite their best efforts, the dog passed away. I can't express how merciless this experience was. حسبي الله ونعم الوكيل Anyone who wants their pets to be treated in a humane way must avoid this hospital.
