I really wanted to love the Hyatt Regency Cairo West, and there were definitely some highlights. As a Globalist, I was generously upgraded to a spacious suite with an incredible view of the Pyramids — easily the most memorable part of the stay. The staff were also friendly and responsive when I raised concerns. Unfortunately, the property itself felt surprisingly unfinished and poorly maintained for a relatively new Hyatt Regency. There was an extremely strong paint/construction smell in the hallways, missing grout and loose flooring in the room, and marks on the walls. At one point, a piece of ceiling material also fell after opening a door. Food was another weak point. Breakfast was disappointing for a Hyatt Regency, and the overall selection of restaurants and dining options at the property felt quite limited. There also isn’t much immediately around the hotel in terms of restaurants, so you’re fairly dependent on the hotel or taking a car elsewhere. My biggest disappointment, however, was the pool. The water was noticeably cloudy and did not look clean enough for me to comfortably use. Management handled this well and kindly arranged for me to use the pool at the Hyatt Centr

The Good: Exceptional Staff: The team here is incredibly welcoming and helpful. They constantly check in to see if you need anything and will even go out of their way to get you items that aren't on the buffet. It is clear they genuinely care and take guest feedback and considerations very seriously. Amazing Breakfast: The breakfast options are fantastic, with a great variety of delicious choices. Spacious Rooms: The rooms are very big, giving you plenty of space to relax. Areas for Improvement: Cleanliness & Housekeeping: Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the rooms did not meet expectations. Even after room service came in to clean, the floors were not vacuumed well, and the room still felt dirty. Overall: If you value great food and outstanding customer service, this hotel shines in those areas. However, management urgently needs to pay more attention to their housekeeping and vacuuming standards to match the quality of their staff.

I’ve been a member of the Hyatt Regency Cairo since the beginning of the year, and ever since Mary Fayez joined as the spa manager, the experience has been exceptional. The spa and facilities are always spotless, and everything feels so much more organized and serene. I couldn’t be happier to be part of this wonderful community.

We had a great stay at Hyatt Cairo West. The hotel offers a wide range of amenities and is very well located, just 10–15 minutes from the Pyramids complex. The property has the look and feel of a typical international hotel (very clean and well-organized). It’s situated within a large complex, so getting in and out can take a few extra minutes. Security is also very good: every vehicle entering is checked, including document verification and bomb-sniffing dogs. We received a very warm welcome from the hotel manager, Belal, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only downside worth mentioning is the restaurant pricing. We were charged about $120 USD for two people at the dinner buffet (excluding drinks). While this may align with international hotel standards, it felt quite expensive compared to typical food prices in Egypt (around $20 per person). That said, the food quality was good, and breakfast was excellent. Overall, a very comfortable and secure stay, with just a note of caution regarding dining costs.
