About Il Mulino
Looking for an international restaurant in Maadi, Cairo? Il Mulino is one of the options in this directory, registered at 7 Street 261, عزبة فهمي، قسم المعادي، محافظة القاهرة 4234010; below are its hours, contact details and reviews.
Eating out in Egypt runs late: dinner often starts after 20:00, and many restaurants and cafés stay open until midnight and beyond, especially on Thursday nights and in summer. Delivery is everywhere, either by calling the restaurant or through apps such as Talabat and elmenus, sometimes with different prices and offers on each. Many restaurants add a 12 % service charge and 14 % VAT to the bill, so ask for the final price; tipping is customary but optional. During Ramadan the timings shift, with the main rush at iftar and service running on towards suhoor.
The business lists hours for all seven days of the week. On most of those days it is open 07:00–00:00. Expect different timings in Ramadan and on public holidays, and a short closure at Friday prayer time in smaller shops. You can reach Il Mulino on 012 2328 8854; calling is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses in Egypt also answer on WhatsApp. Its website is facebook.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 2,286 reviews, a high score, though the most recent reviews are still the best guide to what visitors find today.
This business is in Maadi, Cairo Governorate, part of Greater Cairo, Egypt's capital and the largest urban area in the Arab world, spreading along both banks of the Nile from Downtown, Zamalek, Garden City, Heliopolis and Maadi to new cities such as New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, 6th of October and the New Administrative Capital, with the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum on its edge. The Cairo Metro's three lines link many districts, but traffic is part of daily life, so allow extra time at rush hour. Summers are hot and dry, winters mild with little rain, and streets and shops stay busy late into the night. To get there in Maadi, Google Maps shows the routes and transport options, ride-hailing apps such as Uber, Careem and inDrive are widely used alongside taxis and microbuses, and it is worth allowing extra time at rush hour.

Very disappointing experience. The new management has clearly lowered the standard of this restaurant. We were asked to leave simply because we didn't have a reservation before the match, without any attempt to accommodate us. What was even more upsetting was the complete lack of respect or consideration for my disability. The staff handled the situation in an unprofessional and insensitive way. I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant.

Service was great, people were friendly and responsive. Atmosphere was good. The food was basic and some ingredients didn't taste very fresh.

It was such a nice experience! The outdoor setting is so lovely and refreshing. The food came quite sooner than we expected and the taste was really nice. We tried the Rocca Salad, Alfredo Pasta and Carbonara and all of them were quite exquisite 👌 the prices for the food quality was quite nice and the service was great! We didn't try the bakery but the smell was really good I think it would make a nice choice for morning coffee.

The ambiance is nice, the service is quick but I do have some notes, we were two, first thing that got served was the coffee, you do not serve coffee alone for someone having breakfast, then it took 15 minutes for my plate to arrive, I was already done with the coffee, the coffee taste was good tho The burscheta was served right after the coffee, that was for my friend, it was well toasted, very full and tastes good The croissant was served after, it was an almond croissant, with no nearly no almond, it just had some flakes on the top and a weird very sugary filling on the inside, the dough itself was pretty good, yet overall I wouldn’t call it an almond croissant nor re-purchase it After that, 10 minutes later, my plate was served, poached eggs and spinach, the poached eggs were perfect yet the spinach was very over cooked and too soggy, it has 2 layers of toast underneath it so they were too wet and very very bad, the plate had a side of pickles, I didn’t taste them, potatoes, they were too basic nothing special and a few leaves of rocca and cherry tomatoes with a dressing that was honestly good Overall I wouldn’t recommend the place, the prices were moderate, the service is okay
