Eating out in Egypt runs late: dinner often starts after 20:00, and many restaurants and cafés stay open until midnight and beyond, especially on Thursday nights and in summer. Delivery is everywhere, either by calling the restaurant or through apps such as Talabat and elmenus, sometimes with different prices and offers on each. Many restaurants add a 12 % service charge and 14 % VAT to the bill, so ask for the final price; tipping is customary but optional. During Ramadan the timings shift, with the main rush at iftar and service running on towards suhoor. Bakeries sell baladi bread, fino rolls and pastries, with subsidised bread distributed through the ration-card system, while patisseries get busiest in Ramadan for konafa and qatayef and before Eid al-Fitr for kahk and biscuits, so order large quantities early.
The business lists hours for all seven days of the week. Typical hours are 08:00–17:00. Expect different timings in Ramadan and on public holidays, and a short closure at Friday prayer time in smaller shops. The listed phone number is 010 3210 9999. From abroad dial +20 and then the number without its leading zero (five-digit hotlines work only from within Egypt); calling ahead is the norm for bookings and to confirm timings.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 89 reviews, a high score, though the most recent reviews are still the best guide to what visitors find today.
This business is in Maadi, Cairo Governorate, part of Greater Cairo, Egypt's capital and the largest urban area in the Arab world, spreading along both banks of the Nile from Downtown, Zamalek, Garden City, Heliopolis and Maadi to new cities such as New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, 6th of October and the New Administrative Capital, with the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum on its edge. The Cairo Metro's three lines link many districts, but traffic is part of daily life, so allow extra time at rush hour. Summers are hot and dry, winters mild with little rain, and streets and shops stay busy late into the night.

Lovely spot for baked goods and sandwiches. The lady at the counter was so nice. We gad a chicken sandwich and a cheese & mushroom grilled cheese sandwich with caramelised onions, and an omelette sandwich. I initially wanted the sandwich with eggs and avocado but she said there’d be a wait, so I went for the omelette but we ended up waiting longer, but anyway 🥲 Omelette sandwich was okay, the bread is a plain bread and there’s nothing holding the sandwich ingredients together so I would just make this an open sandwich or just serve it on a single thick slice of toasted bread. The grilled cheese sandwich was lovely, so was the chicken sandwich. We got a milk chocolate chip cookie and white chocolate chip cookie with cranberries. Both chewy, kinda like the chewy Chips Ahoy cookies. Loved them.

A nice tiny little place inside the CSA. It is a bakery not a restaurant, so it doesn't have any seating of its own, so if you want to sit down, you will need to sit in the outdoors (shaded) seating area. 🌯 Ordered a tuna nicoise sandwich and it was lovely and fresh. Contains tuna, eggs, lettuce etc Also ordered a croissant and it was light and airy, as should be! ✨️ 💶 Their prices are on the high side, with sandwiches starting around 200, but bakeries like croissants and cinnamon rolls were more reasonably priced. Also, there is Café Greco nearby if you want to grab a coffee with your brunch. Overall a nice experience and I think I will come again

A place that sells fresh and delicious baked goods made in the morning of the day. The staff's smiles delights customers and the delicious bread makes them happy. If you don't go early in the morning, the bread you want may not be available.

Came here for a late-ish lunch as we saw the good ratings on Google! FYI - it’s in a sort of private compound with a blue gate so you’ll need to ask security to enter. The area is a really cool vibe, quite trendy. As you walk around the compound you then see leaven at the back. We ordered a vegan hummus sandwich, a vegetarian sandwich which I’ve forgotten the name of - (it had fresh mozzarella, tomato and leafy greens), a lemon tart and a fresh orange juice and guava juice with no sugar. The food was delicious and reasonable pricing for very generous portions! The lady serving us was also very lovely. The only issue we had which may have been a misunderstanding, was when we ordered we were told it would be 10min so we sat outside and waited. It had been 25 or so minutes so we went inside to check the progress and the food was just sitting there waiting for us to collect. We expected a small call for the order as we were a little pressed for time too! This however was not worth knocking a star off for.
