About مطعم الخديوي
Looking for a Syrian or Lebanese restaurant in Nasr City, Cairo? مطعم الخديوي is one of the options in this directory, registered at 3869+VG9، جامعة الأزهر، مدينة نصر، محافظة القاهرة 4434124; below are its hours, contact details and reviews.
Eating out in Egypt runs late: dinner often starts after 20:00, and many restaurants and cafés stay open until midnight and beyond, especially on Thursday nights and in summer. Delivery is everywhere, either by calling the restaurant or through apps such as Talabat and elmenus, sometimes with different prices and offers on each. Many restaurants add a 12 % service charge and 14 % VAT to the bill, so ask for the final price; tipping is customary but optional. During Ramadan the timings shift, with the main rush at iftar and service running on towards suhoor. Syrian and Lebanese restaurants are known for hot and cold mezze, shawarma, grills and fresh bread; they have spread across Egypt in recent years, and dishes are usually ordered to share.
The business lists hours for all seven days of the week. Typical hours are 12:00–23:45. Expect different timings in Ramadan and on public holidays, and a short closure at Friday prayer time in smaller shops. The listed phone number is 02 2402 3680. From abroad dial +20 and then the number without its leading zero (five-digit hotlines work only from within Egypt); calling ahead is the norm for bookings and to confirm timings. More information is available on its website, yellowpages.com.eg.
Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 845 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect before you commit to a visit.
This business is in Nasr City, Cairo Governorate, part of Greater Cairo, Egypt's capital and the largest urban area in the Arab world, spreading along both banks of the Nile from Downtown, Zamalek, Garden City, Heliopolis and Maadi to new cities such as New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, 6th of October and the New Administrative Capital, with the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum on its edge. The Cairo Metro's three lines link many districts, but traffic is part of daily life, so allow extra time at rush hour. Summers are hot and dry, winters mild with little rain, and streets and shops stay busy late into the night.

The atmosphere was amazing, the view was great, and the place was very comfortable. However, the food wasn’t good. We ordered shish tawook and it was dry and not hot. We also ordered salad and samosas, which were not good at all. Most of the food was served cold. The only dish that was decent was the béchamel pasta. Overall, it wasn’t a good experience and I wouldn’t visit again.

Keeping it brief.... Freshly prepared bread/naan was tasty along with all the different dips/mezze Grilled barbecue chicken alright but the kebab rolls was scrumptious...

The only bad comment is the high price, the price of soups, appetizers, and salads is so high and unreasonable at all compared to the price of the main plates. The atmosphere is unique and the service from the staff is so welcoming and professional, especially from Mr. Mohamed Osama. The food is so delicious and cooked professionally. I recommend the place for its vibes and good food, but when it comes to the prices it is another bad story.

It’s really a lovely place , quiet, lots of green areas and very well maintained. I loved the atmosphere and the unique setup. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Food was tasty but of average portions. We tried two dishes , The Pasha Duck served with grilled vegetables and white rice. And the other plate was stuffed pigeon, served with mashed potato and grilled vegetables. The place is clean and washrooms look sparkling. It was so hard to find their menu before my visit, that’s why I am attaching the menus dated March-2022 The prices are above average. Anyhow, I had a great experience and I would definitely visit it again.
