Judge a place like this on a clear menu with prices, visible hygiene and recent, consistent reviews rather than décor. Food outlets are licensed by the district or the new-city authority and inspected by the National Food Safety Authority, and most menus are in Arabic, many in English too. Thursday nights and holidays are the busiest, and popular places fill up on Ramadan nights and at Eid, so book ahead. Cash is still common in popular eateries, while larger restaurants take cards, mobile wallets and InstaPay. Syrian and Lebanese restaurants are known for hot and cold mezze, shawarma, grills and fresh bread; they have spread across Egypt in recent years, and dishes are usually ordered to share.
Opening hours are published for all seven days of the week. The most common schedule is 09:00–04:00. Timings usually change during Ramadan, at Eid and on other public holidays, and some shops open later on Friday around midday prayers, so call before a long trip. You can reach (مطعم انس الدمشقى) on 012 2387 7773; calling is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses in Egypt also answer on WhatsApp.
With 4.2 out of 5 on Google from 6,491 reviews, opinions look fair to good; the detailed comments usually say more than the score about service, prices and waiting times.
This business is in Nasr City, Cairo Governorate, part of Greater Cairo, Egypt's capital and the largest urban area in the Arab world, spreading along both banks of the Nile from Downtown, Zamalek, Garden City, Heliopolis and Maadi to new cities such as New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, 6th of October and the New Administrative Capital, with the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum on its edge. The Cairo Metro's three lines link many districts, but traffic is part of daily life, so allow extra time at rush hour. Summers are hot and dry, winters mild with little rain, and streets and shops stay busy late into the night.

The food was in huge portions . The food was absolutely delicious as well. The other good thing is that the food does not take forever and the prices are reasonable compared to the portions . I tried a chicken kabsa : 9.7/10 I tried their 3 types of soups : 10/10 The only problem I had was the air conditioning (mid not strong like most people are used to)

Anas Al-Dimashqi Restaurant – Abbas El Akkad Street: There is a seating area on the second floor. The service is good. Cleanliness unfortunately needs improvement. The food is average. The beef shawarma is better than the chicken shawarma.

What a great experience. The restaurant is packed with people. But still we managed to get a table. The restaurant is fully air conditioned and the restaurant is 3 floors. Ground level for delivery and take aways and the first and second floor for the restaurant and dinning in. You can expect Syrian food and grilled meat and chicken. Fried chicken and almost everything on the menu. The food didn't take long to get here. Plenty of clean bathrooms and the staff are very polite and friendly. The place has been great to be honest. Highly recommended.
