Judge a place like this on a clear menu with prices, visible hygiene and recent, consistent reviews rather than décor. Food outlets are licensed by the district or the new-city authority and inspected by the National Food Safety Authority, and most menus are in Arabic, many in English too. Thursday nights and holidays are the busiest, and popular places fill up on Ramadan nights and at Eid, so book ahead. Cash is still common in popular eateries, while larger restaurants take cards, mobile wallets and InstaPay.
The business lists hours for all seven days of the week. On most of those days it is open 17:00–02:00. Expect different timings in Ramadan and on public holidays, and a short closure at Friday prayer time in smaller shops. You can reach Rustica on 010 1577 5542; calling is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses in Egypt also answer on WhatsApp. Its website is facebook.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 321 reviews, a high score, though the most recent reviews are still the best guide to what visitors find today.
This business is in Maadi, Cairo Governorate, part of Greater Cairo, Egypt's capital and the largest urban area in the Arab world, spreading along both banks of the Nile from Downtown, Zamalek, Garden City, Heliopolis and Maadi to new cities such as New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, 6th of October and the New Administrative Capital, with the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum on its edge. The Cairo Metro's three lines link many districts, but traffic is part of daily life, so allow extra time at rush hour. Summers are hot and dry, winters mild with little rain, and streets and shops stay busy late into the night. The Cairo Metro's three lines, together with the Monorail and the LRT, cover much of Greater Cairo and are a practical way to skip the traffic and the hunt for parking, especially Downtown and in the older districts.

Don't ever go to this place if you're a tourist or visiting! Very unwelcoming. We had a reservation but we weren't allowed to sit in even though the place was almost empty! The reason was a dress code that they did not apply to everyone there, so they pick and choose who to apply it on and were clearly racist!!! Never recommend if you want a good dining experience!!!

Unfortunately it’s all wasted potential. The service is incredibly rude, the food is mid, we had 2 different pizzas, and pasta. Despite having the service staring at us the whole time, the place has potential, was really surprised while paying for food that there is also a table fee (cover T) which unprecedented for me. It’s overpriced, unfriendly and unprofessional.

I liked the vibes a lot, the pizza was way better than the pasta, However the staff were starring at me and my friends a lot it felt very uncomfortable.

I came by two nights in a row since I’m staying in the apartments next door and wanted a nearby spot. Both nights the place was completely empty — no customers, no music, dark, cold, and not very inviting. When I ordered a classic whiskey sour, it was initially made with passion fruit syrup without being mentioned. After asking for it to be remade, the corrected version was about a 3/5 compared to other whiskey sours I’ve had. They were also out of multiple menu items. I ordered corn ribs first (unavailable), then settled on the bruschetta, which was actually decent. When I tried to order ravioli for my main, that was also unavailable, so I paid the bill and so my surprise, there’s a table charge, apparently. In all of my time in Egypt, I have never had a restaurant bill come out with a charge for sitting at a table when I’m already paying for the food and drink. The location has potential, but consistency, atmosphere, and menu availability really need improvement.

Some Italian food, why not 👌🏼 The staff welcomes you with warm smiles and nice attitude. 🤩 The food is amazing, the real taste of Italy, rome in particular especially in the pasta! 🍝 We had the beef fillet steak, Penne Alfredo con pollo, Bruschetta and Fantazia salad. 365 rosé wine is super recommended 🍷 The menú is really wide. Honestly the food was amazing, the pictures can speak for itself. One recommendation, play only Italian music so you keep the atmosphere vivid and relevant to the restaurant's concept. The intirior is something to admire as well 😍 We also had a random visitor to the nearby window 🕊️
